Hole-in-the-Wall Restaurants

Melbourne is home to some of the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants in the world. These are the kind of places that you might not even notice if you weren't looking for them, but once you find them, you'll be glad you did.

One of our favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurants is Chin Chin. This tiny restaurant is located in a back alley in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, and it serves some of the best modern Chinese food in the city. The menu is small but perfectly formed, with dishes like the Peking duck pancakes and the Sichuan pork belly being particular highlights.

Melbourne is also home to a number of great off-the-beaten-path markets. These markets are a great place to find unique and interesting food, as well as local produce and crafts.

One of our favorite off-the-beaten-path markets is the Queen Victoria Market. This is the largest open-air market in the Southern Hemisphere, and it's a great place to find everything from fresh produce to seafood to baked goods.
